I ended up taking off a day early for vacation.\u00a0 I really needed this day for me.\u00a0 It started out wonderfully.\u00a0 I slept in and was in no hurry to get moving.\u00a0 I had a leisurely breakfast and then thought about what I wanted to do.<\/p>\n
Rick had class and didn\u2019t return until noon.\u00a0 That meant that Sascha and I just hung out.\u00a0 I did finally do some work around the house, but not much.\u00a0 Rick and I went out for lunch and headed to the grocery store.\u00a0 I had some things to get and he needed to stock up for the coming week.<\/p>\n
I got home in the early afternoon.\u00a0 So there was time to work in my flower beds.\u00a0 I pulled weeds from the front along the house.\u00a0 Those darn weeds seem to come up quickly and take over fast.\u00a0 I guess it didn\u2019t help that we had gotten some rain showers to help the process along.<\/p>\n
I took a shower to clean up and Rich got home.\u00a0 We were hanging out at home and eating leftover BBQ from Sunday.\u00a0 Somehow, the leftovers always taste better a couple of days later.\u00a0 We finished off the ribs and pulled pork that we had.\u00a0 Then we settled in for the night.<\/p>\n
I had been gathering things that we needed for the trip in the guest bedroom.\u00a0 This was my staging area.\u00a0 When I thought of something, I just added it to the pile.\u00a0 Then it\u2019s easier to pack the car by transferring from the bedroom to the car.\u00a0 Rich still needed to pack.\u00a0 I had been working on my suitcase for a day or so.\u00a0 Guys are easier though.\u00a0 Nothing has to match and they just throw it into the case.<\/p>\n
The biggest things we have to get together are the electronics.\u00a0 There is the GPS with its cables and power supply.\u00a0 Rich has started a bag of cables, adapters, and other things to make it easier to handle all of the computers, phones, Nooks, and miscellaneous devices we like to have.\u00a0 I borrowed the wifi hot spot from work.\u00a0 This is to ensure I can get into work, if the need arises.\u00a0 It always comes in handy for every need though.<\/p>\n
