Yesterday, I received the mushing harnesses and towlines in the mail.\u00a0 Gary had given me the name of a place in Minnesota where I could order a harness for Sascha.\u00a0 After getting her measurements, I called and talked to Shilon at Black Ice Dog Sledding.\u00a0\u00a0Thanks for making the ordering so easy!<\/p>\n

Today, I did tested the harness on Sascha.\u00a0 She got so excited when she saw it.\u00a0 She knows what the harness means.\u00a0 She stepped up and I put it on her.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It\u00a0seemed to fit really well.\u00a0 I’m going to have Gary confirm the fit on Sunday when we attend the\u00a0urban mushing class.\u00a0 The harness is red to match my scooter and I had reflected tape added so people can see us. That’s the flash on the side that you see.<\/p>\n

\nIt’s funny, but Rich was yelling Hike (which means go) and\u00a0Sascha turns and looks at him like he’s crazy.\u00a0 She knows she can’t run in the house.\u00a0 Mom will yell at her again! \u00a0<\/p>\n

I also ordered a set of booties for her feet.\u00a0 They were all felt, so I’m not sure how they will work in the snow and ice and rocks.\u00a0 We’ll have to see.\u00a0 Rick and I put them on her and you could tell right away that she’s worn booties before.\u00a0 She didn’t try to shake them off or walk too funny.\u00a0 She was cute.<\/p>\n

The scooter people said that they were still working on getting the frame painted.\u00a0 Hopefully, we hear something by early next week.\u00a0 After I finish my class, I feel like I’ll need to practice.\u00a0 You know that practice, practice, practice makes perfect!\u00a0 I’ll be a long way from perfect for a while.<\/p>\n
