Cast OFF!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So I&#8217;ve been wearing this short arm cast for 4 weeks on Sunday (1113).\u00a0 I can&#8217;t believe how much this thing bothers me.\u00a0 I&#8217;m extremely claustrophobic and having this plastic touching my skin is unbearable.\u00a0 The first few days was very hard,\u00a0 As I come down to the last few days, it&#8217;s even worse!<\/p>\n<p>Amazingly, the cast is fairly clean and in good shape.\u00a0 No one has asked to sign it.\u00a0 It&#8217;s dark blue anyway and I don&#8217;t have a light colored marker.\u00a0 That&#8217;s alright.\u00a0 I&#8217;m not planning on keeping it.\u00a0 My son thought he might want it, but changed his mind.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_315\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-315\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.zurekbrau.com\/blogs\/richsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/Cast-Off-soon.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-315\" title=\"Cast Off Soon\" src=\"http:\/\/www.zurekbrau.com\/blogs\/richsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/Cast-Off-soon-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Clean and neat cast\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-315\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Clean and neat cast<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>So Tuesday is the big day.\u00a0 The doctor is removing the cast to do x-rays.\u00a0 If things continued to look good with the crack at my wrist, I&#8217;ll just have to wear a removable splint.\u00a0 I pray it looks alright.<\/p>\n<p>I really only have pain when I overuse the hand.\u00a0 Even then, the pain is not around the break or where I knocked the little knob off the other side of my wrist!\u00a0 Seems strange, but I hope it gets better when the cast is off.<\/p>\n<p>So Tuesday is Happy Cast Off Day and some freedom.\u00a0 Maybe I&#8217;ll have to celebrate with a margarita!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So I&#8217;ve been wearing this short arm cast for 4 weeks on Sunday (1113).\u00a0 I can&#8217;t believe how much this thing bothers me.\u00a0 I&#8217;m extremely claustrophobic and having this plastic touching my skin is unbearable.\u00a0 The first few days was very hard,\u00a0 As I come down to the last few days, it&#8217;s even worse!
