So Christmas Eve has finally arrived.\u00a0 As usual these days, it’s just Rich, Rick, and I celebrating together. Ah, but this year, we have Sascha as well.\u00a0 This is one of those Polish eating holidays.\u00a0 There is food all the time.<\/span><\/p>\n

Christmas time is also Sascha’s birthday.\u00a0 It’s too bad we don’t know the exact date.\u00a0 We’ve decided to celebrate on Dec 26.\u00a0 Sascha was originally named Holly to celebrate her Yuletide birthday.\u00a0 I just couldn’t call the dog Holly without thinking of my Aunt Holly, also born on Christmas.\u00a0 I think Sascha fits her.\u00a0 \"\"<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Today was kind of slow.\u00a0I was mostly hanging out.\u00a0My sinuses are bothering me, so I’m only blowing my nose.\u00a0 Rich decided to paint the metal beams and poles around the bar area.\u00a0 He picked out what he thought would be a nice Bavarian blue color.\u00a0 It’s probably pretty close to Detroit Lions blue as well.\u00a0 It definitely brightened up the bar.\u00a0 Rick was in the garage working on a super secret project yesterday and today.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

This afternoon, Rich was watching the Lions and Chargers game.\u00a0 Sascha decided to sit on the couch and watches as well.\u00a0 I think it had more to do with the beer he was drinking than the actual game.\u00a0 I can’t say I believe Sascha is a fan of football or a particular team. I took a couple of neat pictures of them together.\u00a0 Sascha loves her daddy.<\/span><\/p>\n

This year, we broke with the fish tradition and decided to have duck for dinner.\u00a0 Around here, duck goes over very well.\u00a0 A little wild rice and a few fresh vegetables along with crescent rolls make for a nice dinner.\u00a0 Of course, Rich had to break out some of the wine.\u00a0 Today, a nice white wine with the duck.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tomorrow is Christmas.\u00a0 It’ll be another quiet day.\u00a0 Dinner is standing rib roast with Yorkshire pudding.\u00a0 I believe Rich has a nice red wine to compliment the meal.\u00a0 To space it out, we are doing the typical sausage and pierogi brunch on Monday.\u00a0 Then I’m taking my wonderful husband out on a date Monday night.\u00a0 Rick has agreed to make sure we get there and back safely.\u00a0 It’s Duke O’Brien’s for dinner with their wide selection of craft beers and wines.<\/span><\/p>\n

I have to say I really hate the program I’m using for my blog.\u00a0 I’m going to have to find something that allows me more freedom to format!\u00a0 This is crazy and it sucks!<\/span><\/p>\n
