<\/p>\nWith any animal, you find your life is a little more interesting.\u00a0 Our dog, Sascha, is no exception to that rule.\u00a0 She always comes up with something that surprises me, makes me laugh, or just downright astounds me.<\/p>\n
Today was another snow day for us.\u00a0 The snow from yesterday continued on through the night and into the next morning.\u00a0 I think it finally stopped out here around 9:00 or so with maybe 6 or 7 inches.\u00a0 By Chicago standards, that’s a light snow.\u00a0 That meant there was more snow on the ground to shovel.\u00a0 Luckily, Rick was off from school today.\u00a0 I believe it was a Teacher’s Institute Day to make a longer holiday weekend for MLK Day.\u00a0 Good timing for me, because he was going to do the shoveling!\u00a0 Yeah!<\/p>\n
Rick went out to start the front driveway and the front porch.\u00a0 Sascha and I made breakfast.\u00a0 Around lunchtime, Rick and I went out to tackle the big driveway.\u00a0 This driveway is about 3 cars wide.\u00a0 So the snowblower is no help at all.\u00a0 It has to be done by hand.\u00a0 I took one side and Rick the other.\u00a0 Sascha came\u00a0 out to play in the snow, which she did NOT do.\u00a0 She stayed by the side door barking occasionally in her high pitched woofs.\u00a0 I understood she wanted to be out front of the garage, but that just wasn’t possible.\u00a0 It only took us about\u00a030 minutes to clear the whole thing.\u00a0 Then I went inside.\u00a0 Sascha, of course, followed.\u00a0<\/p>\n
So I sat down to drink some water and warm up.\u00a0 It was only 16 with the wind chill out there.\u00a0 Before I know, Sascha is sitting next to me in the chair and drapes herself over my neck.\u00a0 She’s been trying to find a place to lay in the chair where she is comfortable and, I believe, take up most of the room. She liked the position today. It wasn’t too bad, except she was breathing slightly in my ear.<\/p>\n
So in between all of the activities today, I’m working away at different projects.\u00a0 I have a couple of meetings with different groups.\u00a0 I really felt productive today.\u00a0 It might have been the exercise in the cold air at lunch.\u00a0 I knocked off at 4:00 PM.\u00a0 Rick and I decided to go out for dinner.\u00a0 This is Rich’s bowling night, so he’s not there to hold us back.\u00a0<\/p>\n
After dinner, I decide to relax and check out TV.\u00a0 Before you know it, Sascha is in my lap again.\u00a0 However,she opts for a position she tried the other day.\u00a0 I get the feeling that I’m sitting in the chair with a large child.\u00a0\u00a0 I think she has found her favorite way to relax in the big, red chair!<\/p>\n
So someone had mentioned that Huskies can become couch potatoes.\u00a0 Most everyone I’ve talked to with a Husky says that’s not possible.\u00a0 I think my photos prove that my Husky wannabe could quite possibly be the best couch potato in the house.\u00a0 I know she had a hard day out there in the snow, but I really don’t think that’s a reason for the snoring.<\/p>\n
