Maybe Rich was right, I left out a lot of details.\u00a0 Wait, don’t tell him I said anything about being right on anything!<\/p>\n
Vacation was so great, we’re still talking about it.\u00a0 I left out a really cool detail though.\u00a0 I just went back to be sure I hadn’t talked about it.\u00a0 At Ground Zero, they make you sign your name on a wall, ceiling, floor, or someplace to prove you were them.\u00a0 Tameala gave us a marker and said to find a space.\u00a0 We looked around.\u00a0 Over in the corner, there was a large banner announcing the Chicago Blues Fest for the year that Rich proposed to me.\u00a0 Unfortunately, we didn’t make it there because I was sick.\u00a0 We thought that would be appropriate to sign the banner.\u00a0 Tameala informed us that they didn’t have access with a ladder.\u00a0 Darn.\u00a0 Foiled again.<\/p>\n
Rich did find a spot.\u00a0 Under the rail on the post behind the table where we sat for dinner, there was a small blank space just big enough to sign Rich + Joy.\u00a0 No room for a heart around it though.\u00a0 I know he loves me anyway.\u00a0 Right, Rich? (Elbow to ribs here.)<\/p>\n
Anyway, we have been talking all week about the high points.\u00a0 Today, Rich discovered that he lost 7 lbs on vacation.\u00a0 I never thought to check.\u00a0 All that walking.\u00a0 So the energy output must have been greater than the shoveling input of oysters, beers, and ribs.\u00a0 My kind of vacation.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Of course, next vacation is in May to California.\u00a0 We plan to do some walking, hiking, and, of course, some eating there, too.\u00a0 I’m still in the planning stages, but we know we have to hit San Fran, LA, Yosemite, Sequoia, Joshua Tree, and some desert locations.\u00a0 Then Las Vegas is on the way back.\u00a0 Should be a fun time.\u00a0<\/p>\n
This is Rick’s vacation as part of his high school graduation.\u00a0 After this, he gets a job and starts college.\u00a0 Then we are pretty much free to enjoy adult type of vacations.\u00a0 We just won’t have the designated driver anymore.\u00a0 I’ll just have to plan stops carefully.<\/p>\n
