Now as I get older, my hair texture keeps changing.\u00a0 My hair was somewhat wavy when I was younger, but it got really straight as a teenager.\u00a0 Now that I’m getting past “that age,” my hair is getting wavy again.\u00a0 On humid days, it’s downright curly.\u00a0<\/p>\n
It has gotten to the point where I let it dry naturally and it waves all over the place.\u00a0 I like this.\u00a0 No more messing with trying to blow dry it right, curl it in the right direction, or put stuff on it to help out. I just let it go.\u00a0<\/p>\n
This has been alright to do until the last few weeks.\u00a0 When I’m at home, it does just fine and looks fairly decent. But when I go into the office, it looks horrible by lunchtime.\u00a0 What the heck is going on with this?!? It seems to go flat and want to cling to my neck.\u00a0 Sometime one side is fluffy and the other side is flat.\u00a0<\/p>\n
On Friday, I was brushing out my hair right before I left my desk to have lunch with Rich.\u00a0 I realized that my hair was full of static electricity!\u00a0 Now it made sense.\u00a0 Why hadn’t I noticed this before?\u00a0 The office is so dry that it was affecting my hair!<\/p>\n
In the car, I told Rich about my non-scientific findings.\u00a0 His recommendation was to attaching a grounding wire to myself when I was in the office to dissipate the electricity.\u00a0 I thought about it, but then figured I didn’t want to try to explain that one to anyone I worked with.\u00a0 I think they wonder about me now.<\/p>\n
So I need to find all the ways to handle static electricity so I can keep my hair from doing all of the strange things that it tries to do in the office.\u00a0 I know that hair spray helps with this.\u00a0 It might also help to lock in the waves.\u00a0 I’ve heard that Bounce dry sheets work also.\u00a0 Just not sure I want to smell like a load of laundry.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Anyway, I’m on the search for ways to combat the dry hair syndrome in the office.\u00a0 I might just put up a cage around my desk to deflect the electricity.\u00a0 Then more than just my hair will be helped.\u00a0 I might stop shocking myself whenever I touch metal!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
